Licensed Nursing Assistant
NURS100L Licensed Nursing Assistant CL2 C9 CRS: The NH Board of Nursing approved Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) program consists of 46 hours of classroom theory/lab and 60 hours of clinical for a total of 106 hours of coursework. The theory portion is delivered at the college. The clinical is arranged at a local health care facility. After successfully completing the LNA program, all students must register for the state competency written and clinical exam and complete criminal background checks/fingerprinting as part of the process to obtain their LNA license with the State of New Hampshire. This course is not part of the Associate Degree in the Nursing Program.

To participate in the LNA clinical at the hospital setting, you are required to document:
- No findings on a NH Criminal Background check and Bureau of Adult Services (BEAS)
- Satisfactory results of a 10 panel drug screen 30 days prior to clinical (included in tuition)
- Physician documentation of the following immunizations:
- Rubeola (Measles) – 2 vaccines/immunity
- Mumps – 2 vaccines/immunity
- Rubella- 2 vaccines/immunity
- Varicella (chicken pox) – 2 vaccines/immunity
- Hep B – 2 vaccines/immunity
- Tetanus – vaccine in last 10 years/documentation of Tdap booster
- TB Tests – 2 tests planted and read in last 12 months or A Quantiferon Gold Test or a T spot with a negative result
- Proof of current health insurance
- Covid vaccine required to participate in clinical (hospital makes no exceptions)
- Proof of current BLS -Basic Life Support certification (recommended but not required)
- Orientation Modules for hospital
- ESOL assessment
- Any other requirements from clinical site
Course Fees:
Tuition — $1,407 (includes drug testing fee)

- Uniform: About $30; Shoes: Start at $35; can be purchased at Uniformly Yours in Laconia.
- Any additional fees needed to meet health or medical requirements
- Background check from the Division of State Police
- Licensed Nursing Assistant Competency Exam: $190 (this fee is subject to change and is paid at the completion of the course). This final evaluation is required by the NH Board of Nursing prior to applying for your LNA license.
- After you have successfully completed your LRCC LNA Program and passed the NH State Competency exam you must complete the Initial LNA License application process with the Board of Nursing. Tuition Assistance:

LNA Competency Exam
If you were a Licensed Nursing Assistant and your license has expired, you may be able to take the LNA Competency Exam to reinstate your license. The first step is to call the Board of Nursing at (603) 271-6282. They will review your situation and provide a letter of reinstatement for you to bring to the exam as proof of eligibility.
