Lakes Region Community College has been working with Pike Industries, a NH-based construction company within CRH Americas Materials, and affiliated companies Tilcon and PJ Keating to provide workforce training throughout the months of February and March.  Training focuses on essential workplace skills, customer service, and technology-based training using the Microsoft Office Suite.

Pike Industries is based in Belmont, NH and has multiple locations throughout New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.  Tilcon is located in Connecticut, and PJ Keating has multiple locations throughout Massachusetts.  Each subsidiary produces materials used in the construction and transportation industries.

In order to develop curriculum to match the needs of the industry partners, LRCC faculty worked closely with the companies to tailor instruction.  LRCC instructor Cat Fuster, chair of LRCC’s Computer Technologies Department, Carlene Rose, chair of the Business Studies department and Andy Duncan, LRCC’s Workforce Development Coordinator, developed the programs for Pike, Tilcon and PJ Keating.

“We’re excited to have built a training relationship with Pike and its sister companies,” said LRCC’s Duncan.  “We’ve provided multiple technology trainings for this organization in the past, and look forward to continuing to help provide professional  development opportunities for their team.”
