LRCC’s President Cate and Workforce Development Manager Steve Tucker recently joined Jack Heath on Good Morning NH to discuss some of the programs, partnerships, and opportunities available at LRCC.

The conversation focused on LRCC’s Workforce Development Program, which provides individuals and employers with valuable training and professional development opportunities, as well as the impact of community colleges across New Hampshire.
During the interview, Heath emphasized the important role community colleges play in higher education. “I think the future of our higher education system in NH, at least the growth curves, the demand, the solutions, and the affordability is our community college system.”
He continued by recognizing the impact LRCC is making in the region: “I’m just looking at the trendlines and places like Lakes Region Community College in Laconia — they have incredible stuff going on there that should be a model for our 4-year universities.”
The discussion offered listeners an inside look at how LRCC is responding to workforce needs, creating accessible educational pathways, and expanding learning opportunities for the community.
