LRCC is in Phase 2 of Re-Opening and anticipates entering Phase 3 August 17.
LRCC continues to work toward supporting our students, staff and faculty as we face the unprecedented circumstances presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. As all Summer term classes were being delivered online, college administration turned its attention to developing and implementing plans for safely reopening the college. We are grateful to the faculty and staff who worked diligently to safely bring back to campus Automotive, Electrical, EMT, Medical Assisting and Marine Technology students during the summer to complete Spring semester labs.
While we will continue to monitor and respond to developments in our communities we are now ready to disseminate LRCC’s Fall Reopening Plan which includes face to face, hybrid, and online instruction, as well as campus housing. It outlines changes to our facilities and protocols to offer classes on campus, while prioritizing the safety of our community and reducing the risks of community spread of the virus. What has not changed in this plan is LRCC’s commitment to our mission to provide a high-quality and personalized educational experience.
We recognize that the best laid-out plan will still exist in a constantly changing environment and that it is our responsibility to stay informed and respond to the recommendations of local, state and national health experts. LRCC’s Fall Reopening Plan is a guiding framework and map that we hope will provide students (both current and prospective), families and employees an outline for how the College intends to approach high-quality, personalized instruction in the months ahead.
