Liberty Tremblay
2025 LRCC Graduate
Business Owner

I chose LRCC because it offered the affordability and flexibility I needed. I wanted to keep working while taking classes, and I wasn’t ready to commit to a four‑year school. Knowing I could transfer my credits later — and avoid the cost of jumping straight into a four‑year program — made LRCC the perfect fit.

At LRCC, I dual‑enrolled in Business Administration and Accounting. I began with the business program because I was interested in owning a small business. Even if my plans changed, I knew a business degree would open doors to solid career opportunities. After my first semester, I added the accounting degree since it only required five additional classes. I ended up enjoying it as well!

The flexibility at LRCC was the biggest advantage for me. I worked three different jobs during my time at LRCC, and my classes never held me back. My first year was fully in‑person, but by my second year I switched to an online format, with the option to attend evening lectures when it fit my schedule.

Today, I own and operate Lady Liberty’s Confectionery, a bakery in Franklin, NH. The opportunity came unexpectedly, but I’m incredibly grateful I took the leap. The courses I took at LRCC prepared me to run a growing business with confidence. I wrote my business plan for Lady Liberty’s as part of an LRCC assignment, and the accounting and marketing skills I learned allow me to manage those areas myself.

My faculty advisor was very supportive and helped me plan ahead and complete both degrees efficiently. My professors consistently offered thoughtful, constructive feedback, and I still keep in touch with several of them. I know I can reach out anytime for business advice.

LRCC is a great choice if you’re unsure about your path and want the freedom to explore. Even if you already know your direction, completing general education courses here is a smart, cost‑effective way to start your college journey.
