Overview
Business is one of the most popular fields of study in college. Business graduates are in high demand, and business touches upon just about every aspect of society. An AS in Business Management from Lakes Region Community College will prepare students for entry-level jobs upon graduation, or transfer to a four-year college. Students will be exposed to a variety of business topics, including entrepreneurship, management, marketing, international business, project management, human resources, and finance. The diversity of classes gives students an opportunity to explore several different areas of business, where they will gain a solid foundation in each.

Business students may take any accounting class not already required and use as a business elective.
Students completing the program will be able to:
- Have a strong command of the English language, including written and oral communications
- Have the mental and physical ability to work in groups and give oral presentations
- Demonstrate reading comprehension skills appropriate for a college level class
- Demonstrate arithmetic and computation skills
- Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills
