LRCC, Heron Point Seafood, and the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association Education Foundation (NHLRA) teamed up to host a culinary showdown. The Big Crab Cook-Off brought together talented high school students from across the state to showcase their culinary chops, from knife skills, to flavor, to plating.

  • First Place went to Plymouth Regional High School’s Sophie Kelsey and Alivia Menth, who wowed judges with their crab salad and mango salsa. Their school earned $3,500, and each student took home $500.
  • Second Place was claimed by MWV Career Technical Center’s Nirvana Clough and William Como, who served up a coastal crab fusion. Their school received $1,500, and the students earned $200 each.
  • Third Place honors went to Pinkerton Academy’s Layla Brown, Megan Gelinas, and Kiley Hewey for their crab and mango tower. Their school received $1,000, and each student was awarded a Dexter knife set.

The event was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and culinary excellence.
