Transfer

By offering a broad range of courses, the Teacher Preparation program prepares graduates to either become Paraeducators or to transfer their credits to baccalaureate degree-granting institutions and pursue teacher certification. New Hampshire Community Technical College currently has transfer agreements with the University of New Hampshire System, and with Southern New Hampshire University and Granite State College. These agreements vary slightly from program to program, so it's important to identify your career goals and work with your Lakes Region CC advisor to tailor your Associate's Degree program to best facilitate a smooth transfer.

Currently, Plymouth State University requires students to have passed the Praxis 1 exam (Pre-Professional Skills Assessments) before transfer. Southern New Hampshire University will be requiring Praxis1 in the near future. Therefore, The learning Center at Lakes Region CC will be offering Praxis workshops, tutoring, and practice exams in an effort to facilitate all transfers to 4-year institutions.
