LRCC Solar "Cord" Cutting Ceremony

Revision Solar Energy of Portland, ME, and Pro Controls, of Bow, NH, completed the new solar panels installation (one of which is pictured behind Kalicki).

"The significance of the 'Cord' Cutting Ceremony is the result of LRCC being able to reduce conventional energy consumption by $10,000 annually as a result of the solar panels being installed on Route 106, Prescott Hill, Laconia," says Dr. Kalicki. "LRCC received the largest percentage of the Grant awarded to the Community College System of New Hampshire. It is appropriate to cut the 'cord' in place of the ribbon!"

The Project was funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and the State Energy Program through the NH Office of Energy and Planning. "LRCC's Energy Services Technology Program will benefit greatly from the on-site solar installations," concludes Kalicki.
