Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) Offers New Solar Installation Training Program

Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) is offering a new 45-hour solar training program this fall. "Solar Thermal Installation Training," will be on Thursday evenings starting September 24 in the Center for Arts and Technology on Prescott Hill. Classes run from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Teaching the new "Solar Thermal Installation Training" class will be Christopher Pinkham (Hillsboro), Owner, Pinkham Solar Services, an individual with 30 years of experience as a solar designer and installer of systems.

"If an individual is looking for a way to enter the solar workforce or is a homeowner, architect, designer, or is simply curious about what makes a solar hot water system tick, the new training is for you," says Pinkham. "Site analyses to the final charging of a solar hot water system will be part of the training. Lab, class time, and hands-on field work are also in the new course; join us!"
