Constitution Day at Lakes Region CC

 

Photo:  Attorney, James Shepherd (Tilton), makes a point about the United States Constitution to a crowd in the College’s Cafeteria this morning.  Shepherd, a long-term Lakes Region CC Business Law Professor, explained how each and every person has a responsibility to uphold the Constitution and to get involved in the political process.

Others making presentations were College President, Dr. Mark Edelstein ( Laconia ); History Professor, Scott Cracraft (Gilford); and Lakes Region CC Student Senate President, Ross Laorenza ( Salem ), a Fire Science senior.

A red, white, and blue decorative cake with the words, “We the People…” was served to the attendees following the speeches.

Today marks the 220th Anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution.
