MANAGEMENT CLUB SEEKS BUSINESS MEMBERS

PHOTO:  Dr Mark Edelstein , College President, discusses the upcoming Lakes Region Management Club meeting with Club President, Larry Mosbrucker. The first LRMC General Meeting was held Thursday, September 27, at Willows Steak & Spirits in Weirs Beach . The featured speaker was Concord District Court Judge, Gerard Boyle (Plymouth-not pictured), who discussed Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve.

The Lakes Region Management Club, with organizational roots dating back to 1950, is launching its annual membership drive by targeting old and new businesses throughout the region.  The Club has set a goal of enrolling 25 new members and invites all interested parties to join.  “Our purpose as an organization is two-fold,” says Club President, Larry Mosbrucker (Gilford), General Manager of Steele Hill Resorts.  “First, we help managers develop as community and career leaders through our educational and informative dinner meetings.  Secondly, the Club promotes the next generation of business leaders through our community college scholarship program.”

The monthly dinner meetings begin in October and conclude in May with no mandatory attendance requirement.  Annual dues are only $15 per individual member.  By keeping the dues low and requirements minimal, the Club focuses on its dual goals of professional development through education and network-building plus support for hard working college students.

Dr. Mark Edelstein ( Laconia ), President of Laconia’s Community College, is a member of the Management Club and actively supports its goals.  “The Community College is both a regional and state economic asset.  The Lakes Region Management Club not only recognizes that, but partners with us to ensure the College’s most talented students receive scholarships. The Lakes Region Management Club has helped make college students’ dreams come true for over 17 years.”  Over the years, the Management Club has helped a total of 418 (four hundred eighteen) students with $224,750 (two hundred twenty-four thousand seven hundred fifty dollars) worth of scholarships.

“If you support business development and student scholarships, I urge you to join the Lakes Region Management Club,” concludes Mosbrucker.  Membership checks for $15 may be mailed to the Lakes Region Management Club, P.O. Box 787 , Laconia , NH 03247-0787 .  Please include your company name and address along with your e-mail address.  Those desiring more information about the Management Club may contact   Mosbrucker, 524-0500; Scott Bardusk (Sanbornton), 934-5110; or Max Brown (Loudon), 524-3207 ext. 737.
