NH First Lady, Susan Lynch Addresses Childhood Obesity During Presentation at Lakes Region CC

The speech was titled “Healthy Choices, Healthy Lives” and was given to a group of fifty people in the College’s Center for Arts and Technology Academic Building on Prescott Hill.

Lynch focused on national data about childhood obesity and the problems created as a result of overweight children. As a medical doctor, Lynch has studied the problem in great depth.

“Dr. Lynch’s presentation was enlightening,” says Professor Kibbee, who orchestrated the event. “It opened my eyes to the reality and consequences of childhood obesity. Students, faculty, and the public at large gained a great deal of insight.”

Lakes Region CC President, Dr. Mark Edelstein (Laconia-not pictured), introduced Dr. Lynch to the audience and welcomed her to the College.
