Fuller, along with Emily Belcher (Northfield), Kaitlyn Hooper (Sanbornton), Samantha Magoon (Northfield), Katherine Robitaille (Northfield), Nora Waite (Tilton), and Matt Smarkel (Northfield), visited LRCC’s Accounting I and Principles of Marketing classes on Prescott Hill. The WRHS Running Start students are taking college business classes at WRHS with Joe Linko (Sanbornton) for dual credit.

Running Start is an initiative whereby high school students are able to complete their graduation requirements while at the same time earning college credits that may be transferred to two- and four- year colleges and universities across the country. The college coursework is supervised by LRCC professors to ensure instruction is at a satisfactory level.

"Coming to the LRCC campus was very enlightening," says Fuller who is taking Accounting I with Linko at WRHS. "Seeing how classes are run and experiencing ‘real’ college classrooms and college life was a nice introduction to familiarize myself with what I will be doing in the future."

WRHS Running Start students spent an hour in LRCC’s Accounting I class, took a tour of the LRCC Main Campus, had lunch, and experienced LRCC’s Principles of Marketing class before returning to WRHS. WRHS has more than 100 students enrolled in Running Start courses with LRCC.
