Through a partnership with the Department of Resources and Economic Development (DRED), LRGHealthcare, and Lakes Region Community College (LRCC), twenty (20) management staff of the Laconia hospital will receive training in “Professional Leadership.”
The N.H. Job Training Fund, provided through LRCC and the State’s Community College System, gives businesses a dollar-for-dollar reimbursement grant for staff development programs enhancing employee skills and helping New Hampshire businesses be more competitive.
“The Job Training Fund Grant is a great opportunity for the hospital and its management team,” says Sue Knowlton (Northfield), Human Resources Director of LRGHealthcare. “The State’s Grant virtually doubles our training dollars.”
“Staff development is critical in today’s business climate,” says LRCC Center for Workforce Development (CWD) Director, Joe Hallgren (Meredith). “The College is proud to work with DRED and community businesses to enhance staff skill development. While the Laconia hospital is the largest employer in the Lakes Region, businesses of all sizes are eligible for the Training Grants.”
New Hampshire businesses interested in additional information on the NH Job Training Fund grants should call Hallgren at 524-3207 extension 759 or their local community college.
