Celebrating the Irish at NHCTC Laconia

Photo:  New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia Nursing Director, Harriet Redmond (Gilford), displays her shamrock as a tribute to St. Patrick’s Day coming on Saturday, March 17.  Redmond chose to dress for the occasion today since students are out of school next week during Spring Break.

“Being half Irish, I like to emphasize St. Patrick’s Day even if it is a week away,” says Professor Redmond jokingly.  “Students need to have a little fun given that the Nursing Program is so challenging.”

Redmond earned her Nursing Bachelor’s Degree at Boston College School of Nursing and Master’s Degree at Boston University School of Nursing in Psychiatric Nursing.  She has also completed specialized coursework at Harvard University in Mind Body Medicine.
