NHCTC Laconia Nursing Student Morris

Photo: New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia Nursing graduate, Annie Morris (Meredith-right), pauses with her cousin, Don Morrissey (Gilford- left), prior to the 2007 Nurse Pinning Ceremony at Steele Hill Resort in Sanbornton.

Morris graduated with the Associate of Nursing Degree with honors last month.  Morrissey recently retired from NHCTC Laconia as Vice President of Student and Corporate Affairs, having also served as Interim President of the Laconia College.

“My experience at NHCTC Laconia has been wonderful,” says Morris.  “I really appreciate my cousin, Don, delivering me an application by kayak that summer day.  My life will never be the same.”

Morris and Morrissey have summer cottages on Bear Island in Meredith.  Morrissey, totally committed to educational success, wanted Morris to consider NHCTC Laconia’s Nursing program, so much so that he delivered the application by kayak on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Morris will be working as a Registered Nurse in the Lakes Region.  Earning the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Nursing are plans for the future
