Photo: New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia General Motors Automotive Service Education Program (GM-ASEP) 2002 graduate, Adam Dumont (Claremont – left), receives a round of applause from GM- Northeast Region Zone Manager, Dennis Mazzoni (Somers, NY - right), and the Howe Motors service team in Claremont. Dumont is one of the first Lakes Region CC GM-ASEP graduates to achieve World Class Technician status based upon completing eight master certifications, each a day-long assessment at the GM/Raytheon Training Center in Tarrytown, NY.
“College personnel are quite proud of Adam,” says Lakes Region CC GM-ASEP Coordinator, Michael Parker (N. Sandwich – not pictured). “World Class Technician status has been achieved by only six technicians in New Hampshire. Howe Motors personnel are also elated with Mr. Dumont’s accomplishments.”
Dumont was sponsored by Howe Motors when he was a Lakes Region CC student and has continued as a technician there for the past five years.
The year 2007 marks the 15th anniversary of Lakes Region CC’s internationally acclaimed GM-ASEP Program. Hundreds of GM-ASEP graduates are employed in GM dealerships throughout New England as the program has maintained a 100% placement of graduates since its inception in 1992.
