Alex Ray (Holderness), Founder of the Common Man family of restaurants, is the featured speaker at the Lakes Region Management Club’s (LRMC) February General Meeting.  The Meeting will be held at The Lodge at Belmont (formerly Lakes Region Greyhound Park) on Route 106, Belmont, on Thursday, February 22, with the social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Ray will speak on the effects of making good deeds a part of the business plan.  His mantra of “Doing Well by Doing Good” has contributed to 35 years of remarkable success, growing from one restaurant to 13.  Examples of Ray’s philosophy were seen in last month’s $50,000 giving spree to 14 New Hampshire charities and donations of over $100,000 to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

“Attendees will hear how encouraging his management and staff ‘to give back’ has produced uncommon results for Mr. Roy,” says LRMC Vice President, Thomas Crossley (Laconia), owner of Winsor Business Services, Laconia.  “Alex Ray is a dynamic person and will make for an eventful evening!”

For additional information and to reserve space for the LRMC General Meeting, contact LRMC Vice President, Amy Michalski (Gilford), 293-0102.  The public is cordially invited.
