EST Program Field Trip to Sylvania's Lightpoint
Photo: New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia Energy Services and Technology Program (EST) student, Jeremy St. James (Moultonboro), views different types of energy efficient lighting available in today’s market during a class field trip to Osram Sylvania’s ‘Lightpoint’ training facility in Danvers, Massachusetts. St. James and other members of the Introduction to Energy Management Principles class were able to observe first-hand capabilities of reducing energy use in present and future commercial and residential structures.
“This was an excellent training facility that broadened students’ horizons beyond the classroom,” says Golomb (Deerfield – not pictured), the former Energy Conservation Coordinator at NH Public Utilities Commission. “We certainly appreciate the expertise and hospitality provided by Sergio Mazon (Danvers, MA – not pictured) and Osram Sylvania personnel.”
The new EST Program at Lakes Region CC is the third of its type in the nation. Golomb is the new Program Coordinator at the Laconia College.
