Accounting Professor Carlene Rose Joins LRCC Faculty

Professor RosePhoto: (August 16, 2010) Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) Business and Accounting Professor, Carlene Rose (New Hampton), joins the College for the new fall semester. Rose will be teaching Introduction to Business, Principles of Management on-line and in the classroom, Introduction to Project Management, and Business Documentation I on-line. Rose came to the college after teaching four years at the J. Oliva Huot Technical Center in Laconia. Prior to her secondary school teaching experience, Rose spent more than fifteen years working in the marketing and advertising industry in various capacities, including owner of her own advertising agency. She was executive director of the Advertising Association of New Hampshire and has conducted a number of workshops in both the business and academic arenas.

"I'm very excited to be a part of the local community college, where I can transfer my experience from business to those looking to pursue opportunities in the business world," says Rose. "I love working with learners of all ages, and am eager to meet the new challenges on the post-secondary level."

Rose holds a Master's Degree in Business Education from Southern New Hampshire University, a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of New Hampshire, and an Associate Degree in Business from Franklin Pierce College. She has received numerous awards in business and education, including the Advertising Association of New Hampshire's President's Award, an Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the University of New Hampshire, and most recently, a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Teaching Award.
