NHCTC Laconia PTK Induction

Photo:  Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society induction guest speaker, Fouad Youssef (Laconia-right), presents his message to the eighteen new inductees, family, and friends recently.  To his right are Honor Society Advisors, Amy Morrill (Laconia- far left), Pat Wild (Gilford- center), and College Vice President, Tom Goulette (Belmont-seated right).  Youssef emphasized moderate risk taking in life as a requirement of fulfillment and success.

“Leaving my country as a young man for a new life in the U.S.A. was a great risk for me,” says Youssef, a NHCTC Laconia Chemistry and Physics Professor since 1982, who made the decision to come to the U.S.A. from Egypt for a better life many years ago.  “My life has worked out well as a result of relating positively to co-workers, supervisors, and students in an ethical and upright manner.”  Youssef touched many people’s hearts in his message based upon their feedback following the Ceremony.

Inductees were:  Kristy Bushong (Laconia), Nicholas Copping (Barre, VT), Ellen Edge (Gilmanton), Regina Gilpatric (Hill), Sally Glavin (Gilford), Deana Harty (Meredith), Kimberly Jewell (Effingham), Jessica Labrancy (Franklin), Audrey LaBreque (Ashland), Malissa Levesque (Ossipee), Heidi Barton (Alton), Laurie Mitchell (Gilford), Jaimie Mudgett (Milton), Charity Parker (Meredith), Kelli Rodrigues (Franklin), Kayla Sidney (Center Harbor), Shaun Sullivan (Merrimack), and Nicholas Wischlburger (Meredith).
