NHCTC Laconia BCEDC Field Trip

Photo:  New Hampshire Community Technical College Laconia Business Management majors, Kayla Sidney (Center Harbor-left), and Gary Anderson (Sanbornton-right), pause with Belknap County Economic Development Council Executive Director, Eliza Leadbeater (New Hampton- center).  Sidney, Anderson, and other members of NHCTC Laconia’s Principles of Marketing class visited the BCEDC offices at Southern New Hampshire University’s Laconia Center in Gilford on Tuesday to hear a presentation by Leadbeater on the merits of the organization and how the Council benefits the Lakes Region business community.

“What a wonderful experience to be able to hear Ms. Leadbeater’s presentation,” says Sydney, entering her second year at NHCTC Laconia with honors next month.  “Eliza was great, and I really learned a lot about our community and how Lakes Region businesses are developed. Meeting Adrienne Stevens (Sandwich-not pictured), Director of SNHU’s Laconia Center, was also a major plus.  I learned a lot about the University and hope to transfer there once I finish my NHCTC Laconia Associate’s Degree.”

Stevens preceded Leadbeater’s presentation and discussed the seamless transfer between NHCTC Laconia and SNHU. Anderson is a student at Winnisquam Regional High School who plans to major in Accounting with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
