LRCC Hosts Green Your Fleet Event

Washington Auto Road Smart Car, also an electric automobile, that has indeed climbed Mt. Washington as stated on the bumper sticker.

LRCC Hosts Green Your Fleet

LRCC is co-hosting a Green Your Fleet! Fleet Manager Workshop. This workshop is a free educational and informative workshop hosted by Granite State Clean Cities Coalition, and is designed for Fleet Managers as an informative and interesting overview. Over 140 attendees will learn about the experiences of area fleet managers in alternative fuels, advanced vehicle technology and fuel economy strategies.

National Car Care Month SkillsUSA Fund Raiser at LRCC

In support of National Car Care Month and to raise funds to support student travel to attend the SkillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Conference in Kansas City, MO; Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) will be hosting a Spring Car Care Check-Up event on the LRCC campus Saturday, April 19, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Vehicle inspections will be conducted by LRCC Automotive Technology students, instructors, and local business volunteers. Inspections will cover the following:

Ø Exterior lighting

Ø Horn operation

LRCC Hosts Discovery Day with LHS

Photo: Laconia High School (LHS) student, Bethany Gasper (Laconia-left), works with Lakes Region Community College (LRCC) Science Professor, Janet Bloom (Hopkinton-right), in the dissection of a sheep’s brain.  Gasper was one of the LHS Discovery Day participants who spent the morning at LRCC learning about what the College has to offer.  The day was put on by LRCC’s Running Start Program and sponsored by a grant from the Bank of America.   


Mark your calendars for Friday, December 13th. LRCC's new student-run organization, S.P.E.E.K.S., is hosting its first conference and the lineup of speakers is sure to provide an interesting evening.

The event runs from 6 - 9 P.M. and is free of charge.
